Michael Decauni, President & CEO

Michael Decauni is the founder of Callian Capital Group and continues as its President & CEO. Michael is well-known for his ability to deliver solutions to a wide range of clients in a variety of dynamic situations. This includes financial services, government relations, and international financial transactions. His expertise and strategic set of operational skills are felt when dealing with cross-borders matters, both of private and public sectors internationally. His clients include, governments and sovereign wealth funds throughout North America, Europe, and the Gulf Region. While continuing to build the global operations of the firm, Michael is actively engaged in providing advisory and consulting services to Callian’s select corporate clientele in Canada and abroad. With extensive cross-cultural experience and knowledge of international business markets, Michaels’ ability to make connections for his clients, introducing them to unique opportunities around the world. Throughout his career (both as a professional and as an entrepreneur), he has been involved in large transactions and attained a notable degree of success, translated into both high rates of return for his clients and shareholders, as well as, significant growth for his enterprises. In addition to his profession, Michaels’ passion for Canadian political and non-profit sectors enabled him to become an active participant and avid supporter of various Canadian and international charitable causes.

Adam Seanor, MBA, CFA, Managing Director

Adam has over a decade of experience as an equity research analyst at Toronto-based broker-dealers. In those roles, he covered real estate, banks, specialty lenders, insurance companies (Life Co’s and P&C), asset managers, business services, financial services technology and special situation companies. Adam also has experience as an AVP at a Canadian based top four credit rating agency and as a Corporate Banker at a Big 5 Canadian Bank in their Infrastructure, Privatization and Power and Financial Institutions Groups. Adam was ranked #1 in the 2015 StarMine Industry Analyst Awards for Top Stock Picker. The year prior, Adam was ranked #3 in the Financial Services sector. Adam received a Masters of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business at York University and is a CFA charter holder.

Dr. Amr Attar, Executive Board Member

Dr. Amr Attar is a managing partner of Callian Capital, CEO of Capital Advisory Group and founder of Amr Attar Corporation, a diverse Saudi-based trading and investment company. As the son of H.E Dr. Abdulwahab Attar, former Minister of planning and economics and Ambassador to the United Nations in Geneva, Amr Attar was destined for success. Commencing his higher education in the UK, he earned his BSc in Economics at Nottingham University and an MSc in Finance at CASS Business School of City University, finally graduating with a PhD in Finance and Strategic Management at Brunel University. He subsequently became an advisor to the board of London-based Plurimi Capital and later to JAR Capital, where he assisted in the establishment of their Asset Management division, including alternative asset-backed structures for real estate and aviation funds, among others. Upon his return to Saudi Arabia, Dr. Attar began directing family investments and working with Egypt’s Suez Canal Authority on various mega-infrastructure projects, in addition to managing a portfolio of real estate investments located in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Spain, France and Switzerland. Now leading Capital Advisory Group, Dr. Attar manages investments primarily in the sectors of Pharmaceuticals, Technology, Real Estate, Food & Beverage distribution and Oil & Gas.

Stephen Kovacevic B.A., M.A., VP of Construction & Development

Stephen has over thirty years’ experience in customer, general contractor, subcontractor and Developer relations. An experienced director and project manager in institutional, residential and commercial construction projects with extensive industry and building systems knowledge. A trusted advisor within management with a reputation for delivering success based results. Stephen received a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Ottawa specializing in Labour and Banking. He was Vice-chairman of CCU Financial and led their modernization into online banking in the early 2000’s. He has held varying senior and executive roles throughout his career and has been involved in numerous international projects with foreign governments. Stephen has extensive Project Management experience in all aspects of construction and scale of projects. Over his career, he has worked with many national and global companies in residential, commercial and industrial sectors such as Camrost, H&R Developments, Davpart, Graywood Developments, Matthews Group, Montmontaza, DomoInvest, PCL, EllisDon and SNC-Lavalin to name a few. Notably, Stephen was involved in project managing the $600 million construction of the Ritz-Carlton in Toronto, Ontario. Stephen has worked closely in every aspect of the project planning, development and management. Stephen is well regarded in the general contracting and development industry and is known for his impressive communication skills and his ability to connect with all project stake holders from unit owners; management boards, liaising with consultants, municipal staff, Tarion inspectors, suppliers and trades. In sum, he is a team leader with a strong work ethic, integrity and the technical proficiency and business skills to deliver high standards in work quality and organizational performance. Stephen has worked on projects worth a combined value of over one billion dollars, covering over four and half million square feet of combined residential, commercial and industrial space. Stephen is Vice President of Callian Capital Group’s and Verton Developments Construction and Developmental arm.
